The Glory that calls...

Marol Vallejo- Coffee & manna devotions...

What are we going to do? The wind is picking up, and the boat is rocking back and forth so bad I don’t think we are going to make it. Hey, wait….what is that in the distance over the waters……its its a ghost… no….what…… All of a sudden a voice over the loud crashes of the waves, and the strong winds says “It is I Jesus don’t be afraid!” Peter all of a sudden felt brave, and said Lord if it’s really you tell me to go to you…..

Do you remember this story in the bible where Peter walks on the water? Who doesn’t he walks out of the boat and sinks why was it because of his sense of wanting to follow Christ no matter what or maybe the fact that he started to focus on everything around him. Maybe it was all apart of the plan of the father to show the others that the only way you can do the impossible is when you are in the hands of Jesus. It says that when he began to drown Jesus reached for him, and the minute he did he was safe in his hands :) My point…….the glory…the supernatural power of God…….his presence……the spirit of God that hovered over the waters from the very beginning (Genesis 1:2)

This presence was the presence that the disciples saw at a distance……they saw something unexplainable….something that in the eyes of the flesh they couldn’t understand….why? Jesus was walking on water he was showing them it is me…………. the spirit of God is sustaining me over these waters, and I am with you even when I’m not in your obvious distinguishable distance. I’m here.Don’t fear!!!!! The presence the glory surrounds us…..it’s but at a distance, and calls for us. Will we respond to it?

I believe that there is a glory so close to our fingertips that all we have to do is look up, and reach for it. His presence that delivers, heals, restores is right there!!!! It might look foggy, and far away, and maybe you can’t even distinguish it, but Jesus’ power is there and its available. Why are we afraid of his glory? Afraid to just forget about everything around us, and just walk toward the one who is calling us. It always seems harder to do when we don’t have a clear sight of what we are walking toward in the physical. Although we can’t see it we can hear his voice telling us “Don’t fear it is I!” Church of God listen for the voice telling you to walk into his glory!

Today I encourage you to tap into the his presence. Dive into it, and swim…….be submerged …I really don’t think Peter worried about if  he was going to walk or swim or what or how he was going to Jesus. All he thought was I hear him calling, and I’m going! I want to go..I will respond back to our passionate father….

Jesus I worship you, and I exalt you! I will listen, and believe even when I can’t see…..even when the storm clouds around me….I will not trust in the circumstance, but I will trust in your voice that I can hear….I see your glory in every moment of breath that I live. Lord you are good!!!!  Thank you for your love….walk into  his glory today I guarantee you there is no better place to be. Until next time God Bless :)
