When will it happen? Lord please…..I’m begging you…….please…….when how long??? What do I need to do? Have you ever found yourself in a moment of desperation? In a moment where nothing around you makes sense, and you know that everything around you is pointing in the opposite direction of where you want to be…..Hannah was a woman in the bible who wanted a child so desperately. She was in a situation where she couldn’t have children, and because of it her rival would make fun of her. She would mock her and make her feel horrible because of her lack.  I find it interesting that her husband would offer her a double portion of what he could offer but she was still downcast & miserable inside because her need wasn’t met. Her deepest desire wasn’t there. So one day she gets so sick & tired and runs to the altar and drops to the ground……Imagine that feeling of weakness……that feeling of hoplessness……she knew that she knew that her circumstance couldn’t change, but she ran to one who could make a change if she could just find favor in his sight. Her husband couldn’t ……….even the priest couldn’t. He saw her on the ground at the altar, and said My you’ve had to much to drink, but she said NO! 

“Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” 1 Samuel 1:15  

 Oh what sweet words……truthful words. She poured out her heart to a Living God who cares, and is listening. Out of her distress she cried out, and even though man couldn’t understand her she didn’t care. She said Let me be with my God. You can’t do anything to change my situation, but he can. People could judge, and make fun but she was tired of staying where she was at. She came to a place of surrender a place where she got lost in his presence. She spoke to him in a way that man couldn’t understand, but he could.

God wants to have moments with us were we begin to lose ourselves, and we let go of all the worries and burdens. All the heaviness we carry around he wants to take it off your shoulder. Give it to him tonight. Release it to our father. He can change your situation. He wants to fill you with peace. Don’t hold on to those things that are lingering around in your heart.  Give it to him Give it to him right now…..tell him you are all that I want God I need you more. I release all those voices, and the things that look impossible into your hands. The hands that took the impossible on the cross.  Lord here I am!!!  tell him…..stop caring about the people around you, and what they will think get lost in his presence.

In those moments of your life that you can’t understand…those moments that seem unbearable put yourself in his hands. Hannah did, and he gave her a son. You see we serve a God who loves us, and wants to give us the desires of our heart.  She found favor in the eyes of a king. Today ….I lose favor peace joy…I speak to the downcast hearts, and I just release peace in the Name of Jesus Christ!!!  To all you Hannah’s out there…….He is listening cry out to Him!
