For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Jesus is that ransom. He lived, breathed, ate, slept and walked among us to offer Himself as the Way back to a relationship with our Creator.

You’ve probably already figured this out yourself, but the world is a pretty messed up place. We are, all of us, broken people living in a broken world. And just like a busted up phone can’t fix itself, we’re all in need of healing and redemption. Jesus can be your redemption. He can be your ransom, if you’re willing to take His life in exchange for yours.

Now there are a lot of voices out there clamoring for your attention, claiming to be the truth, the answer, the reason for this life. So why trust in Jesus? In some ways, he was a pretty unassuming guy. He never commanded massive armies or founded major universities or accumulated great wealth while He was on earth - yet over 2,000 years later millions upon millions of people build their lives on His teaching and look to Him for their eternal salvation.

But what made Him different from anyone else who ever lived? He was unique for one reason: He wasn't only a man, but He was also God. It's pretty hard to comprehend, but Jesus Christ was God in human flesh - fully man, and yet also fully God. As the Bible says, "He is the image of the invisible God.... For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him" (Colossians 1:15,19).

We've found him to be the Truth and Life through our personal relationships with him and through our community with other Jesus followers. These are our stories, these are your stories here on Ransom. Will you take that step to start following him?
